Staff Profile

Wai Mo
My teaching career spans over 30 years, supporting students at both Manchester Metropolitan University and Manchester University in undergraduate LLB (Hons) and postgraduate courses in law and business management, including LLM and GDL programmes. I returned to practice Corporate Governance and Trusts in Jersey for PWC, overseeing the incorporation of companies and the creation of Trusts. Furthermore, gaining professional level membership of the Chartered Governance Institute.
Prior to joining Buckinghamshire New University I was the Programme Leader for the LLB (Hons) at a franchised Centre for the University of South Wales and Lancaster University. I am a specialist within the areas of Corporate Law, Trusts, Legal Skills, Criminal Law, Business Law, IT Law, and Contract Law. Additionally, I supervised undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations while acting as a personal tutor to students. I am also an Associate Lecturer with the College of Legal Practice supervising SQE stage 1 students with their professional course.
My research has directed me to review the use of sub cultures within gangs and their affiliations to specific attire and rap and drill music. This area of evidence admissibility requires scrutiny for charged defendants. This marginalisation of music genre that remains unregulated, infers suggestion of violent mindset, intention to commit serious harm or gang membership.
