The Professoriate is a forum for the Professors and Associate Professors of Buckinghamshire New University to influence and contribute to the advancement of University Policies and Strategies in the areas of Research and Scholarship, Learning and Teaching, Enterprise, Research Governance and Staff Development.

The members of the Professoriate act as academic ambassadors and intellectual leaders, to enhance the research, scholarship, teaching and learning and enterprise culture within the University.

To facilitate this, the group will host and support several events across the University.

Each year the University hosts a series of inaugural lectures delivered by newly appointed Professors, covering a variety of subjects focused around the University's leading research.

The Forum is coordinated by a Chair and a core group of Professors and Associate Professors drawn from all Schools and subject areas.

The whole Professoriate will normally meet twice a year with another extended meeting in the summer hosted by the Vice Chancellor, which will be extended to the Emeritus and Visiting Professors and Visiting Fellows.
