Living off Campus
If you choose not to live in the accommodation provided by BNU or want to live closer to our Uxbridge and Aylesbury campuses, our Accommodation Service team can also help you with renting in the private sector. From contract checking, landlord issues and issues with residents, our friendly team are on hand to help.
Please note: the responsibility for entering a contract rest entirely on the student and the landlord. If there is any problem between the landlord and yourself, please contact us as soon as possible.
StudentPad
is BNU’s very own online student lettings platform. Offering general advice and our alternative source guides for finding accommodation within private sector accommodation in the community.
Students can:
- Search for privately rented student accommodation and enquire online directly through your StudentPad account
- Signup to get property alerts emailed directly to you whenever accommodation becomes available that matches what you are looking for
- View housing advice videos and our Student Housing Guide
- Use the message board to find available rooms and flatmates, or to let students know if there is a room spare in your student house
*Please note that Accommodation Service provide an advice and referral service only. While we make every effort to assist students to find safe, secure and suitable accommodation, any lease or other arrangement entered into are at the sole discretion of the student and the accommodation provider. We’ve made sure that the landlords and agencies have met the basic legal requirements to rent out their property but haven’t visited the properties ourselves
Nursing accommodation at hospitals
If you are a nursing student, you may qualify for accommodation at the hospital you are on placement with. You can speak with your relevant Placements Officer for advice, contact details, or the necessary forms. You can also contact a hospital directly by visiting their website and contacting their accommodation team.
