
BNU rises 12 places to 65th position in Guardian University Guide 2025
Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) has risen in the Guardian University Guide climbing 12 places to rank 65th in the 2025 edition.
The University ranks 1st in the UK for satisfaction with assessment and feedback and 3rd in the UK for satisfaction with teaching quality.
BNU continues to be rated highly for the expenditure it dedicates to each student, retaining its position of 4th highest in the UK.
This year, the Guardian has aggregated data from questions about the quality of teaching and students鈥 positivity with assessment and feedback from the 2023 and 2024 National Student Surveys (NSS).
Professor Nick Braisby, Vice-Chancellor of Buckinghamshire New University, said: 鈥淲e are delighted to see a further and significant rise in BNU鈥檚 overall ranking in the Guardian University Guide. The guide recognises BNU鈥檚 sustained excellence in students鈥 satisfaction with our teaching and assessment and feedback, and our students鈥 continued success in the employment market.鈥
Highlights from BNU鈥檚 performance at subject level include:
- 3rd in the UK for Mental Health Nursing
- 9th for General Nursing
- 4th for Graphic Design
- 17th for Animation and Game Design
- 18th for Social Work
