Become a BNU Ambassador
Our Student Ambassadors are current students who represent Buckinghamshire New University. As a Student Ambassador you will:
- Be an ambassador for the student experience at BNU
- Provide a positive role model for students thinking of studying at university
- Represent BNU at a variety of University events, such as Open Days and school visits to campus
Being part of the SA scheme felt like a huge learning experience. My favourite experience was doing Futures Day and the UCAS Fairs. This enabled me to meet with prospective students eager to join the university, and I was able to tell them how BNU caters to their skills and strengths. This helped enhance my communication and interpersonal skills, which are essential for the outside-of-university world.

The Student Ambassador role is incredibly varied and gives you many opportunities to build your personal development. It is also flexible allowing you to fit work shifts around your studies and extra-curricular activities. You could be working with prospective students both on campus and in schools and colleges or representing BNU at events such as Open Days, HE fairs, campus visits, school talks and subject-specific workshops.
There may also be opportunities to get involved with the University’s marketing activities through specific telephone and online campaigns across the year. If you are interested in social media and digital content there could be opportunities to create content for BNU’s online presence.
