Staff Profile

Martha Batting
Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2024, I was a Research Physiotherapist at the Physiotherapy Research Unit within the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford for 10 years.
I studied Physiotherapy at the University of the West of England and graduated in 2014. My specialist area of interest/research is orthopaedics and functional outcome measures. Throughout my career I have enjoyed developing and conducting research projects that have helped shape the care of patients following joint replacement surgery, as well as designing innovative rehabilitation programmes to help improve patient outcomes.
I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and The Association of Trauma and Orthopaedic Chartered Physiotherapists.
My career highlight to date is gaining my Masters in Clinical Research from Southampton University in 2014.
