Liam Harris
Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2024, I was working as a Physician Associate in Emergency Medicine. This follows a career working as a Physician Associate in Cornwall and then London with experiences in acute medicine, general medicine specialties, paediatric surgery and emergency medicine. Alongside working clinically I have continued to work with students, both in clinical and academic settings, and providing student mentorship.
I completed my PGDip Physician Associate Studies at the University of Plymouth following an undergraduate degree in therapeutic radiography. I enjoy and have sought further training in clinical skills including pleural ultrasound and pleural aspiration. I remain interested in clinical skills, communication skills and human factors in healthcare.
I am a member of the Faculty of Physician Associates (FPA) and registered on the Physician Associates Managed Voluntary Register (PAMVR) and also served as a member on the FPA profession standards committee.
