Performance Facilities
Our advanced performance spaces provide the perfect environment to bring your creative ideas to life. From expansive rehearsal studios to a kitted-out props store, you’ll put your skills and knowledge to practice in our open spaces.
Drama Studios
At BNU we have three drama studios, ranging in size and equipment. In these spaces you’ll have the opportunity to rehearse and perform, ultimately bringing your productions and pieces to life. Your practical lessons will also take place in these studios.
Our studios each range in the technology and equipment they feature, from a tiered seating bank, overhead lighting system with a mixture of generic and intelligent fixtures, sprung floors, black-out drapes around the room and mirrored wall, to a performance sound system with multimedia playback and tie-lines that enable connections to be made between the stage and control-room, as well as other studios.
We also have a props store full of everything you could need for your performances. Our media resource department is also available for you to rent film cameras to capture your performances.
Dance Studios
Our dance studios are bright and open spaces, where you can let your creativity flow. In our dance studios you’ll be taught by our lecturers who have a wealth of industry and academic experience and who will nurture your learning and professional development throughout your time with us.
All dance studios at BNU are well-equipped, with the following facilities; overheard gallery lighting, audio playback facilities, fully sprung floors, floor to ceiling mirrors for rehearsals, ballet barres and air conditioning.
