
School of Business and Law holds Alumni Future Success Event
Buckinghamshire New University's (BNU) School of Business and Law held its Alumni Future Success Event which presented students within the School a valuable networking opportunity to meet with recent alumni.
Visiting alumni included Lewis Taylor, Media Planner at Spark Foundry London; Max Norfolk, Project Lead at McLaren; Devon Sale, Sales in Aviation industry; and Anna Bella, Director of Sales Development.
A number of alumni currently working at BNU also attended the event, including Veronica Hassan鈥, Strategic Business Development & Innovation Manager 鈥 KTP Associate; Nasifa Ahmadi鈥, Graduate Teaching Associate in the School of Business and Law; Theo Mukamuri鈥, Associate Lecturer in Business and Law; Jack Bellamy鈥, Business Development Coordinator and Sruthi Subhash鈥, Vice President Education Welfare (High Wycombe) at Buck鈥檚 Students鈥 Union.

Veronica Hassan鈥, Strategic Business Development & Innovation Manager, discussed her time as a student at BNU
Nearly fifty first, second and third year students from within the School of Business and Law attended the speed networking session, which gave them the opportunity to talk to each alumnus and put questions about all things business and law, employment, and research and operations to them.

GTA Nasifa Ahmadi and Associate Lecturer Theo Mukamuri spoke candidly with learners
Organised by Senior Lecturer Suzanne Doria鈥, business and law alumni spoke about their experiences of being a student at BNU and imparted advice to current students, alongside sharing their own journey and valuable information about the industries they鈥檝e worked in.

BNU's Business Development Coordinator Jack Bellamy gave useful advice to students
Suzanne said: 鈥榃e鈥檙e really excited to be hosting our 2024 Alumni Future Success Event. We鈥檝e welcomed 9 graduates this year who are working in a range of industries.
鈥楾here鈥檚 a real variety of specialisms among the alumni who鈥檝e all graduated from the Business and Law School who attended the session today to sit in small groups with students in a more informal setting.

鈥楾he idea is that students feel confident to ask questions and to learn from any advice that alumni can give, as well as information about different pathways and industries.

Anna Bella, Director of Sales Development, spoke about her experience in industry
Director of Sales Development, Anna Bella, who studied BA (Hons) Business Management, said of returning to BNU: 鈥業 feel very proud coming back to BNU.
鈥楨very time I return it鈥檚 like a new experience and brings back great memories for me.
鈥業鈥檓 excited to share my experience, what I learned at university and what helped me and got me there and really inspire and engage the students.鈥

Max Norfolk, Project Lead at McLaren, spoke about his time as a student at BNU
Max Norfolk, Project Lead at McLaren, studied BA (Hons) Public Relations and Marketing Communication at BNU and said: 鈥業 can never believe my luck when I鈥檓 asked back to BNU.
鈥業 ended up in roles and working for brands that sound pretty good, like Ferrari and McLaren, but it all started here- BNU kicked off my whole automotive career.鈥

Devon Sale spoke to learners about her experience in the Aviation industry
Devon Sale, alumnus in Sales in the Aviation industry, said: 鈥業 think events like these are really good for students and when I was at BNU I found these extremely helpful.
'I think it鈥檚 especially so for the second and third years to hear from alumni to know that when they leave here, they can have a career in what they want to do.鈥
