Buckinghamshire New University welcomes Wycombe MP Emma Reynolds
Buckinghamshire New University recently welcomed Emma Reynolds, MP for Wycombe, for a tour of the University’s newest facilities, including the Dove development and the newly opened School of Engineering and the Built Environment.
The Labour MP was shown around the High Wycombe campus by a committee led by Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nick Braisby, for the first time since being newly elected as MP for Wycombe in July.

During the visit, Mrs Reynolds was given an update on BNU's strategic priorities and recent developments, a guided tour of its newest facilities, as well as the opportunity to talk with BNU's staff and students.
Trevor Gabriele, Chief Finance Officer, showcased BNU’s newest areas, developed to provide high quality and interactive teaching across our degree programmes, including engineering, paramedicine, business and law, and the Human Performance Laboratory.

Mrs Reynolds met with Head of School for Business and Law, Professor Sarah Williams, and visited the new moot court which is currently under construction in the Gateway building, as well as touring BNU's Student Hub, which serves as students' one stop shop for enquiries regarding financial information, wellbeing and academic support.
The Labour MP was also shown around BNU's new School of Engineering and the Built Environment, meeting with Head of School Professor Sabuj Mallik and learning about the new facilities and range of courses BNU offers.

Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nick Braisby, said: "I was delighted to meet Emma again and share our thoughts on some of the critical government policy discussions which affect our University - fees and funding, franchise provision, student visas and pensions reform.
“I was especially pleased that Emma was able to see first-hand some of the University’s impressive facilities and I look forward to continuing to work with Emma in the wider interests of our community. ”
Addressing her visit, Emma said: “I was delighted to visit Buckinghamshire New University again and to see the investment they are making in state-of-the-art facilities for students.
“I visited the impressive radiology suite, new engineering labs and a range of other facilities. I was also impressed with the new student hub (a one stop shop for student support) which further enhances BNU’s reputation for their outstanding level of student support.”
