
BNU selected as local hub for Tranzfuser game development talent programme
Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) is proud to announce its selection as a Local Hub for , a prestigious government-funded talent development programme aimed at recent graduates and final-year students aspiring to launch their own indie game development studios.
Following application and selection, student and graduate teams will receive initial £7,500 funding to set up their games studio. The programme will allow for the students to receive regular guidance and mentorship to create a fully playable game prototype which they will pitch to a panel in September 2025 for a chance to receive additional £25,000 from the UK Games Fund to further develop their games commercially.
Mario Santos, Course Lead & Senior Lecturer in Computer Games Development at BNU, expressed his excitement about the opportunity: “We’re thrilled to offer this opportunity to our students. At BNU, we're committed to providing our students with the skills and experiences needed to succeed in the highly competitive games industry. Tranzfuser gives our students invaluable exposure to industry mentorship, significant funding, and the unique chance to develop and pitch their own games, setting them firmly on the path to becoming successful indie game developers."
The initial and closes at 12 noon, Monday 28 April 2025. Following selection, the programme will officially launch in June, giving the teams three months to develop their prototype ahead of pitching in September.
