BNU partners with Association of Child Protection Professionals
Buckinghamshire New University is proud to be partnering with the Association of Child Protection Professionals (AoCPP), having signed a shared Memorandum of Understanding earlier this month.
Led by Professor Jermaine Ravalier, Head of School for Health and Social Care Professions at BNU, the partnership will build upon the existing research partnership between the two organisations and open opportunities for the rest of the BNU community to access networks and events hosted by the AoCPP.
Professor Ravalier said: 鈥淭he AoCPP provide amazing support, training and advice to all professionals who work in and around child protection. In the short amount of time I鈥檝e worked with them I鈥檝e seen the absolute dedication of the small team to supporting thousands of practitioners across their various events and offerings.
鈥淚鈥檓 really proud to be able to have our school and BNU more widely associated with such an innovative and important organisation. As a school we are absolutely dedicated to supporting and improving the lives of young people, and our work with the AoCPP will only further that.鈥
A spokesperson from AoCPP said: 鈥'The AoCPP is excited to announce our new partnership with Buckinghamshire New University. Our shared Memorandum of Understanding will allow us to enhance the experience of students and staff at BNU by providing access to our range of quality practice-based events and multi-disciplinary safeguarding networks.
鈥淭his builds on our existing research partnership with Professor Jermaine Ravalier, Head of Health and Social Care Professions, at BNU. The partnership will enable students and staff to engage further with real world practitioners and experts in the field of child safeguarding and protection to continue to develop the skills, values and knowledge required to support children, young people and their families to live their best lives.鈥
BNU鈥檚 School of Health and Social Care Professionals offers a breadth of courses which will benefit from the partnership including undergraduate and postgraduate Social Work provision as a well as an MSc in Child Protection and Adult Safeguarding.
