BNU and Adam Equipment kick off new design and innovation KTP project

The Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) and Adam Equipment has kicked off this month, with the ambitious design and innovation project set to span the next 30 months. Funded in part by , the project aims to bring cutting-edge design and technical expertise to Adam Equipment, enhancing their product offerings and market competitiveness.

The project is a unique collaboration between BNU's design and computer science departments, leveraging the strengths of both areas to drive innovation. The research side will be led by Dr. Benjamin Aziz, Associate Professor in Software Engineering at BNU, with Professor Sri-Kartini Leet, Head of School for Art Design and Performance, Dr. Estabraq Makiyah, Lecturer in Computer Systems and Networks, and Scott Harper, Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Product/Furniture Design, serving as project supervisors.

From Adam Equipment, Richard Storey, Managing Director, and Shaun Baker, Product Manager, will be leading the project from the industry side.

Dr Aziz said: 鈥淭his KTP will leverage the technical research knowledge and project management skills of the university's Computing, AI, and Design researchers, transferring these capabilities to the industrial domain.鈥
