BNU to add a Virtual Production Studio to its state-of-the-art Film and TV facilities
Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) is pleased to announce its plans to install a Virtual Production Studio following a procurement and building agreement with .
The installation aims to be complete by late Spring 2025, when it will be available for use by students in BNU鈥檚 School of Creative and Digital Industries.
A Virtual Production Studio is a cutting-edge facility that combines physical and digital elements to create immersive and interactive environments for film, television, and other media productions. Features include LED stages which can be used to create dynamic backgrounds and environments and real-time technologies such as game engines, camera tracking, and media servers to integrate live-action footage with computer-generated imagery (CGI) seamlessly.
The addition will complement BNU鈥檚 existing facilities for moving image which include three video studios and two editing suites.
Dr Russel Stone, Head of School for Creative and Digital Industries, said: 鈥淲e are looking forward to our students learning on industry-standard equipment to ensure a steady stream of work-ready talent into the Film and TV industry.鈥
BNU offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in moving image, including film, tv and media studies as well as games and animation.
