What will I study?
On this course, you will:

The ACCA qualification is divided into two levels:
- Fundamental
- The Fundamentals level is divided into two modules – Knowledge and Skills and includes nine modules in total.
- The Fundamentals level is divided into two modules – Knowledge and Skills and includes nine modules in total.
- Professional.
- The Professional level is divided into two levels – Essentials and Options.
To complete the Professional level you are expected to complete two essential modules: Strategic Business Leader (SBL) and Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) and choose a further two from the Options level (options are: Advanced Financial Management (P4), Advanced Performance Management (P5), Advanced Taxation (P6) and Advanced Audit and Assurance (P7).
The Options papers are specialised papers and they cover, in depth, the specialist areas of professional accountancy, namely: financial management, performance management, tax, and audit and assurance.
How will I be taught and assessed?
We deliver this programme on a part-time basis, mainly evenings and weekends, offering you the flexibility to pursue a course that will enhance your career whilst balancing your professional and personal commitments.
This programme is aimed at preparing ACCA students with nine (F1 – F9) exemptions for their Professional Level Examinations only. The assessments are not written, approved or assessed by Bucks New University.
The course will consist of a combination of lectures and interactive seminars with additional online materials and ACCA approved teaching resources.
What are the course entry requirements?
We welcome applications from anyone with nine (F1-F9) exemptions /certificates. BNU students who have successfully completed their BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance are eligible for this course.

Following the Government’s announcement of 4 November 2024, we will be increasing our full-time undergraduate tuition fees for UK students to £9,535 per year from the start of the 2025/26 academic year. Our part-time fees for UK undergraduate students will increase to £7,145 per annum. Please visit , on the Government’s website, for more information about the changes.
Tuition fees for Home undergraduate students (including with foundation year) may increase in subsequent years for both new and continuing students in line with an inflationary amount determined by the Government.  
Tuition fees for both new and continuing international students may be subject to an inflationary increase based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the 12-month period to 31 January each year.  
Tuition fees for postgraduate courses and CPD may be subject to an inflationary increase based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the 12-month period to 31 January each year. This increase will apply to both new and continuing students.  
We understand, and really appreciate, the significant financial commitment our students make when they choose to study at BNU. What are my career prospects?
The ACCA qualification is a gateway to a large and varied range of careers. MNCs and the big four accountancy firms prefer ACCAs for accounting and reporting roles. Opportunities are also available in the fields of accounting forensics, business valuation, tax consulting and treasury or cash management. It is also a useful foundation for general management or running your own business.
