What will I study?

On this course you will delve into several key areas. You will study operations management, focusing on efficiently managing production and operations within supply chains. Supply chain optimization techniques will be covered, teaching you how to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs. A significant emphasis is placed on sustainable green logistics, exploring practices that minimize environmental impacts.

Data analytics is another crucial component, where you'll develop proficiency in analysing large datasets to make informed decisions related to inventory management, demand forecasting, and transportation optimisation. You will also gain skills in strategic decision-making, learning how to formulate and implement solutions to complex supply chain challenges.

You will learn how to identify and mitigate risks to ensure the resilience and continuity of supply chain operations. Additionally, the course will enhance your leadership skills and refine your ability to communicate effectively within cross-functional teams and with stakeholders.

How will I be taught and assessed?

You will be taught most of the theory through short lectures, supported by written handouts, web resources, and library references. Tutorials, often in smaller groups or one-on-one, will provide guided learning and support for assessments. Practical sessions, including simulations, live briefs, and role plays based on real-life case studies, will allow you to immerse yourself in activities that mirror actual supply chain scenarios.

Seminars will offer opportunities for formal debates and impromptu discussions, while other techniques, such as industrial visits and guest lectures, will stimulate learning and provide industry insights.

Assessment methods are varied and tied to real-world contexts. You will be evaluated through projects such as simulations, data analysis, pitches, live negotiations, and debates, allowing you to demonstrate the skills you've developed. The professional module offers three options—a professional project, a work placement, or professional consultancy—to bring together the knowledge and skills you’ve acquired. What are the course entry requirements?

  • Applicants to the programme will normally have obtained a Bachelor’s degree with Honours (or equivalent) which can be in a range of subject disciplines or professions. Applicants need a minimum of a 2:2 in their degree to be considered.
  • If your first language is not English or your language of instruction at undergraduate level was not English, you will be required to demonstrate English proficiency at an overall score of IELTS level 6.5 (or its equivalent) and no score below 6.0 in any category.

If you do not meet the entry requirements you may, if you have relevant professional experience, still be invited for interview, where you will be required to demonstrate the necessary knowledge and understanding for entry onto the course. Previous study, professional and / or vocational experiences may be recognised as the equivalent learning experience and permit exemption from studying certain modules in accordance with our accreditation of prior learning (APL) process.

Following the Government’s announcement of 4 November 2024, we will be increasing our full-time undergraduate tuition fees for UK students to £9,535 per year from the start of the 2025/26 academic year. Our part-time fees for UK undergraduate students will increase to £7,145 per annum. Please visit , on the Government’s website, for more information about the changes. 

Tuition fees for Home undergraduate students (including with foundation year) may increase in subsequent years for both new and continuing students in line with an inflationary amount determined by the Government.   

Tuition fees for both new and continuing international students may be subject to an inflationary increase based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the 12-month period to 31 January each year.   

Tuition fees for postgraduate courses and CPD may be subject to an inflationary increase based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the 12-month period to 31 January each year. This increase will apply to both new and continuing students.
