What will I study?

On this course you will delve into several key areas. You will study operations management, focusing on efficiently managing production and operations within supply chains. Supply chain optimization techniques will be covered, teaching you how to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs. A significant emphasis is placed on sustainable green logistics, exploring practices that minimize environmental impacts.

Data analytics is another crucial component, where you'll develop proficiency in analysing large datasets to make informed decisions related to inventory management, demand forecasting, and transportation optimisation. How will I be taught and assessed?

What are the course entry requirements?

Applicants to the programme will normally have obtained a Bachelor’s degree with Honours (or equivalent) which can be in a range of subject disciplines or professions. Applicants need a minimum of a 2:2 in their degree to be considered.
If your first language is not English or your language of instruction at undergraduate level was not English, you will be required to demonstrate English proficiency at an overall score of IELTS level 6.5 (or its equivalent) and no score below 6.0 in any category.

If you do not meet the entry requirements you may, if you have relevant professional experience, still be invited for interview, where you will be required to demonstrate the necessary knowledge and understanding for entry onto the course. Previous study, professional and / or vocational experiences may be recognised as the equivalent learning experience and permit exemption from studying certain modules in accordance with our accreditation of prior learning (APL) process.

For this major piece of self-managed work, you must identify an artefact you wish to produce (for example – a policy, marketing video, training session, etc.), gather and analyse appropriate literature, secondary and primary research to enable the creation of your chosen item. You'll be given a supervisor who will guide you through the process.

Work Placement OR

Gain hands on real-life experience of the workplace and connect your academic knowledge to the real world. Your university tutors will support you to identify a relevant issue in your workplace which will form the basis for your work-based activity. Depending on your placement you may have the opportunity to work on a live employer brief.

Business Consultancy

This module looks at the role of a business consultant and the realities of undertaking live projects. You'll use live project briefs from clients and study how to work effectively in a team, pitch for business, relate your skills to the client's requirements, and how business research sources can support consultants in understanding a client.

Following the Government’s announcement of 4 November 2024, we will be increasing our full-time undergraduate tuition fees for UK students to £9,535 per year from the start of the 2025/26 academic year. Tuition fees for Home undergraduate students (including with foundation year) may increase in subsequent years for both new and continuing students in line with an inflationary amount determined by the Government.  

Tuition fees for both new and continuing international students may be subject to an inflationary increase based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the 12-month period to 31 January each year.  

Tuition fees for postgraduate courses and CPD may be subject to an inflationary increase based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the 12-month period to 31 January each year. This increase will apply to both new and continuing students.
