Why was foundation year a good choice for me?
Fill any gaps in knowledge between school and university
A foundation year was a great opportunity for me to brush up on my knowledge and help me to get ready to start my undergraduate course. Additionally, because educational requirements vary from country to country, a UK foundation year course helped me get up speed. This can be particularly helpful for students, like me, who have taken a long break from studying and are returning to it.

Get used to university-style studying
My preparation for entering undergraduate study was facilitated by a degree that includes a foundation year. I found the transition from high school to university to be intimidating, particularly because of the new course offerings and the increased amount of independent work. When I was enrolled on a foundation programme, I gained the advantage over those who do so directly from high school or college since they have more first-hand knowledge of university life and its demands.

Access your chosen course if you missed out on grades
A direct path into studying a particular topic is offered by many foundation year courses, which might be a great option if you don't get the marks you intended. Most of the time, completing a foundation year gives you a direct and secure route onto the course of your choice the following year. Which for me, will remain the same.

Time to adjust to your surroundings
Prior to starting my undergraduate course, I was able to enrol at my preferred university and get a chance to adjust to my new environment both academically and socially. Foundation students get the opportunity to move to their place of study, make friends, and become accustomed to the city in addition to their academics and the ability to explore their new campus and its amenities.
