Why I chose to study Interior Design at BNU
Why I chose to study Interior Design at BNU
There are many reasons as to why I chose to study BA (Hons) Interior and Spatial Design at Buckinghamshire New University and I will tell you why:
The first reason is my course leader. When I went for my interview, my course leader was so welcoming, informative and paid special interest to my portfolio. She also has a lot of experience in this field of work as well as working in different countries. Moreover, all of the teaching team have experience within Interior and Spatial Design, landscape design, model-making and design visualisation and the animation industry. With this information, I knew I would get the best education at BNU.

The second reason is the course modules. Every university has different modules for Interior Design and Buckinghamshire New University offered the ones I was most interested in. For example, in the first year we cover; critical and historical thinking, model-making and hand drawing, interior design, computer aided design and spatial design. I was confident I would be learning all the requirements I would need for my future career.
Another reason is that there are no exams. Throughout my life I have really struggled in exams due to timing issues, not revising properly and not understanding the questions. This course is a coursework assessment which means written or practical work done during a course of study. I also preferred this option as it is very similar to what I will be doing in the real world: presenting my briefs (drawings etc) to clients.
The last reason is the facilities Buckinghamshire New University offers. They offer state-of-art facilities such as digital suites, workshop-based model making, laser cutting, 3D printer, green screen room and photography studio. All this equipment ensures that I am completing my work to the best of my abilities.
