My BNU story: BSc (Hons) Aviation with Commercial Pilot Training
Why did you decide to study at BNU?
I attended two Open Days before choosing BNU as the place I wanted to study at. At the Open Days I had the opportunity to meet my teachers and tutors, they made me feel very comfortable and they gave me a brief outline of what life at BNU looks like. I also met some friendly Student Ambassadors which gave me a student’s insight into BNU.
I took a tour of the campus where the library really stood out to me. With four floors of books, study spaces, silent study rooms, IT rooms, printers and librarians on hand to help, I could really see myself studying in this 24/7 space.
As well as this, BNU also has transport links to some major cities. London and Oxford are only 30 minutes away on the train, which makes a student life a lot more fun when you can go exploring.
What makes your course right for you?
I have always been passionate about becoming a pilot, and my current course is helping to achieve my goal in life. The structure to my course is very organised and clear which makes it easier to follow. I knew this course was right for me when I realised the course would give me everything I wanted, a university degree, pilots license and university life. It really helped me to pave my path into my career.

What do you love most about BNU?
BNU is such a great university, it provides more than enough for its students. The Big Deal is brilliant, it basically means we don’t have to pay for societies, clubs and other opportunities such as first aid training. Also Like I mentioned earlier the library access is phenomenal, and the views from the library are a massive bonus. Most importantly the enormous amount of support we get from our teachers at every step.

What would you say to anyone considering study at BNU?
Anyone who is considering to study at BNU is absolutely making the right choice, BNU has everything that you will ever need. Such as; the industry-standard facilities, the societies, the cafes, the library, the campuses, the accommodation, the great support from everyone around you, the venue and the events like Festiball. BNU is a complete package.
What’s your BNU proud moment?
It has almost been a year since I have started my journey with BNU and it has been great. The university has helped me shape myself into a better person for my future. BNU is the reason, I have been achieving higher grades in exams and assessments. It has made proud of myself, and for my progress at every stage. I started my first year as a shy person who didn’t want to present in front of anyone, but now I can say I’ve been transformed into a confident, motivated version of myself. Living your life at BNU will be the best experience of your life.
