Biography

As a Physician Associate Placement Officer, I coordinate, manage and oversee the clinical placements for our Master's Programme for PA students. My responsibilities include organising placements that align with educational requirements and serving as a liaison between the University, clinical settings, and students. I collaborate closely with our Programme Lead to ensure all placements adhere to accreditation standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally, I provide support and guidance to students, addressing any issues or concerns that arise during their placements and maintain accurate record keeping of placement hours, monitor students’ progression, and collect feedback from clinical sites to evaluate the quality of placements and suggest improvements.

I maintain strong relationships with both our Primary and Secondary Care Placement Partners and diligently ensure that these partnerships are strong and mutually beneficial, facilitating seamless communication with all stakeholders involved. Along with our Course Leader, I regularly engage with our placement providers to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring that our students are well-prepared, professional, and meet the required standards.

My organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, along with my background in health, education, and experience working in a Foundation Trust, enable me to successfully fulfil these responsibilities.
