Staff Profile

Dr Rachael Adeleye
Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2023, I built a dynamic career in Human Resources Management, primarily within the National Health Service (NHS). With nearly a decade of experience as an HRM consultant specialising in recruitment and employment relations, I honed my skills in a demanding and rewarding environment. My journey began with my role as a Compliance Consultant at Interserve Healthcare UK, where I gained valuable insights into compliance intricacies. My commitment to education and passion for students' success led me to embark on my teaching journey at esteemed UK institutions.
In addition to my professional endeavours, I have dedicated over a decade to volunteering as a programme coordinator for teens and youth at the non-profit organisation World Mission Agency in London. In this role, I led, planned, developed, and delivered developmental and empowering activities for young people, contributing to their personal growth and well-being.
My academic journey began with a BSc (Hons) in Business and Management (Marketing) and continued with an MSc (Hons) in Human Resource Management and Employment Relations, both earned at Brunel University London. I recently completed my PhD in Management Studies Research (HRM) at Brunel University London. This achievement, combined with my extensive professional experience, has profoundly shaped my research interests and academic contributions.
I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and the British Academy of Management (BAM).
My specialised knowledge has afforded me the opportunity to collaborate with organisations like Telmi Kids Podcast Creation App. In this collaboration, I engaged in research projects that resulted in fundraising opportunities and successful partnerships with platforms such as Roblox and Spotify. Beyond my academic pursuits, I actively engage in community governance, contributing as a member of the governing body at my local Primary and Nursery school.
A defining moment in my career journey has been my PhD research work, which has provided the opportunity to present and discuss my findings at various conferences across Europe, including the British Academy of Management (BAM) in the UK.
