Marcia Reid
Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2024, I worked as a Lead Physician Associate in General Practice. Prior to this, I was a Health visitor in primary care and I also gained experience in the field of adult nursing.
I completed my Physician Associate studies at the University of Wolverhampton in 2021, a BSc (Hons) Specialist community public health nursing course in Health Visiting in 2012 and a Diploma in Adult Nursing in 2004.
I am a member of the Faculty of Physician Associates (FPA) registered on the Physician Associate managed voluntary register. Also registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
My specialist knowledge has led me to support Physician Associates in clinical practice alongside the wider healthcare team. This provided an opening to create innovate ideas for Physician Associates in General Practice.
My career highlight is having the opportunity to support and educate new and up-and-coming Physician Associates, providing a holistic approach and a caring, nurturing environment for all students.
