Dr Ayoub Zouria

Biography

Since joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2023, I have been fortunate to progress from Senior Lecturer to Associate Professor in External Engagement and Collaboration within the School of Business and Law. My current role encompasses a comprehensive range of responsibilities, including delivering courses on BA Hons Business Management and International MBA programmes, supervising Master's and PhD dissertations, and managing partnerships with key educational institutions across the United Kingdom and internationally.

My academic credentials reflect a rich international background, with a PhD in Business Administration from Zhejiang Gongshang University in China, a Master's degree in Audit and Cost Control from ISCAE Business School in Morocco, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from the University of London. I am proud to be a Senior Fellow of AdvancedHE (SFHEA), a recognition that underscores my commitment to educational excellence and leadership.

My professional journey has been shaped by diverse experiences across global educational landscapes. I served as a Programme Leader for Business Subjects at ONCAMPUS London South Bank University and held lecturing positions at prestigious institutions including Tourism College of Zhejiang and Coventry University London ISC. These experiences have provided me with a good understanding of international higher education and business dynamics.

My research continues to centre on entrepreneurship and innovation, with a particular focus on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. My doctoral research, "The Driving Forces Promoting Entrepreneurial Activity in MENA," has been instrumental in generating insights into the region's evolving business ecosystem. I have been fortunate to publish several impactful papers in peer-reviewed journals, exploring critical themes such as corporate social responsibility, digital entrepreneurship, and educational technology innovation.

In 2023-2024, I secured £8,500 in collaborative research funding from Research England, demonstrating my ongoing commitment to advancing academic research. My work extends beyond traditional academic boundaries, including external examining roles at the University of South Wales and Bath Spa University, where I contribute to maintaining rigorous academic standards.

My professional background also includes valuable experience in international consulting. During my time with 5CGroup International Corporation, I developed expertise in strategic partnerships and market entry strategies across diverse sectors including infrastructure, energy, and technology. This experience has been instrumental in bridging the gap between academic research and real-world business practices.

A highlight of my career was being invited as a Guest Speaker in December 2020 to present on "Opportunities and Challenges of Global HRM of Tourism Industry in the Post-Pandemic Era" in Hangzhou, China. This opportunity allowed me to share critical insights into the transformative landscape of global human resource management in a rapidly changing global environment.

As a multilingual professional fluent in Arabic, English, and French, I bring a global perspective to my academic and professional endeavours. My ongoing mission is to inspire the next generation of business leaders, foster innovative research, and create meaningful connections between academia and industry.
