Asad Shabbir
Prior to joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2024, I garnered invaluable experience as a dedicated carer with a renowned company in the United Kingdom. My academic journey commenced with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management from the esteemed University of Management and Technology in Lahore, Pakistan.
During my undergraduate studies I earned certifications in airside operations, air traffic management, and VFR/IFR operations on the flight simulator Cessna 172. Following the completion of my undergraduate studies, I transitioned into a role as an Assistant Manager with a major tourism company, where I further refined my managerial skills over the course of a year.
Driven by a passion for the aviation industry, I pursued advanced studies in the United Kingdom, enrolling in a Master's programme specializing in Air Transport Planning and Management at University of Westminster, London. During this time, I concurrently served as a part-time carer, balancing academic pursuits with practical experience in caregiving.
I am an associate fellow of Higher Education Academy (HEA).
My education has led me to develop a profound interest in supersonic aviation. The allure of supersonic flight lies in its potential to revolutionize air travel, offering unprecedented speed and efficiency.
