Staff Profile

Miss Anne-Sophie Donèche
I joined Buckinghamshire New University in 2023 with a desire to teach the new generation and share my knowledge and experience. I’m a full-time architect, director of the international architectural practice Sweetch Architects Ltd. based in UK and France, founded in 2000.
I worked for a variety of architecture office before opening my own, large company like Foster and Partners, in London and small companies in France and Germany.
I studied my Bachelor and Master of Architecture in France (in Bordeaux and Nantes) and finished the equivalent of my Part III in Strasbourg.
I am a registered architect in France and in UK (ARB and RIBA Chartered architect).
My specialist area of interest is the link between Architecture, Space and Emotions. I’m passionate about how to transform people’s lifestyle into inspiring spaces. I believe that architecture is not just about building structures, it's about shaping environments that motivate and elevate those who inhabit them, environments that changes our life. I do believe that our behaviour, actions are impacted by the architecture around us and that architects have the tools to create better lives.
My career highlight is to date is building a practice which promotes a new way of doing Architecture, placing the people in the centre of the projects, projects which now reflect people life and growth.
