Find out if we are right for you
See why we’re right for you.
We are really looking forward to you joining us here at BNU and want to make sure you get the best start to life at university.
We know that this is an exciting time for you, as you take the next steps in your career journey. Our Applicant Visit events provide a great opportunity for you to come and take a look at BNU in person and decide if we are the right fit for you.
Our Applicant Visit events are open to all students who have applied to study a course at BNU, excluding Nursing students. Due to capacity, only Nursing students who already have an offer can attend Applicant Visit events.
What can I see on an Applicant Visit Events?
Your course is probably the most important part of your decision on where to study – during your visit you will meet your teaching team, see where you will be taught, the equipment you will use and meet your fellow applicants. But what else can we show you?
- You will be able to tour our vibrant town centre campus
- Visit our budget friendly accommodation options
- See what our No.1 Students' Union have to offer
- Find out about the different support services we offer
What happens on an Applicant Visit?
On your Applicant Visit we will try to answer all and any questions you may have on your course, show you around campus and our accommodation (High Wycombe events only), give you a chance to talk to our current students and our Students’ Union, and find out what support is available.
Already attended an Open Day?
If you have already been to an open day or virtual open day you may feel that all your questions have been answered – don’t worry you don’t have to come to an Applicant Visit, but you’d be very welcome to. It will be a different experience to an Open Day as you will get to meet fellow applicants who could be your course mates next year, as well as experience taster sessions of your course.
Parents and Carers (High Wycombe events only)
We also have a set up specifically for parents and carers that you can join. This is your chance to ask all those questions they might not think of or find important, but you really want to know - .
Can’t make it to an on-campus event?
We also offer virtual applicant events. At our virtual event you will be able to join an interactive course session, as well as speak to our student services team to find out more about the admissions process, your accommodation options, and the support available to you as a student.

Your interactive course session will last approx. 90 minutes, we also offer refreshments beforehand and optional campus and accommodation tours (High Wycombe only) afterwards. If you have already attended a campus tour we still recommend joining us for an Applicant Visit event.
Absolutely not, if you feel you have all the information you need already to make your choice then there is no pressure to come to an Applicant Visit.
We do offer several different dates, including Saturdays, and virtual events but understand that you will have competing priorities. Email events@bnu.ac.uk if you can’t make any of the events and we will see what we can do.
From interactive course sessions, campus and accommodation tours (High Wycombe only), to stalls to meet and talk to our Student Services teams, you can spend your visit getting to know some of the places you could be spending the next few years and what support is available to you. If you have time after, we also suggest taking a wander around town to get a proper feel for our local community. If you want to ask us something before you arrive, please call 0330 123 2023 or email events@bnu.ac.uk.
Of course you can, and we encourage you to brings parents/carers or other supporters with you to help you decide. We do ask that you limit to two guests per booking as we need to be able to manage numbers.
During our High Wycombe events, you'll get the chance to explore our Hughenden Park Student Village and Brook Street student accommodation. View all our accommodation options.
If you’ve booked but can no longer make it, or you need to make any changes to your booking, please email events@bnu.ac.uk. Please include the email you made your original booking with.
